I'm having trouble taking snapshots in the IMVU Chat Client, Help Please?

So, when I first joined IMVU in February, I had no trouble taking pictures from the chat client and uploading them on the website and to my profile. But, now it hardly works and I don't know how to fix it. I can click on "Take Photo" And it brings up the little menu of the size and background. The flash does go off when I click on what I want but here's where I have the problem. When I move my cursor over the upload button, it doesn't show the little hand or do anything when I click on it. The only button that does work in that menu after I've taken a snapshot is "Try Again" and it does show the hand and let me click on it. I don't know why it's doing this, but it has done this for a while and I really need to update my avatar picture because it's very old and my avatar looks way different than when I first joined (obviously).

I have been thinking, however that maybe uninstalling the IMVU chat client and installing it again might work but I wanted to know if anyone on here had any other solutions.

I have already cleared my IMVU cache many times, and all that did was reduce and prevent lag from the client.

I think you should just reinstall it. May be easier.

Hi! I think you should uninstalled IMVU and then reinstall and that should fix the problem. I don't use the client default "take photo" for my images since I use gimp, therefore I've not noticed any or had any problems with it. But yeah uninstalling and reinstalling should fix your problem. If it doesn't then go to customer support and send in a ticket, also check the IMVU forum to see if anyone esle has had the same problem. Sometimes these things happen with new patches and I think we had a new patch not to long ago. I hope this was helpful. Keep us updated on the results.

Thanks to both of you for suggesting a solution. I reinstalled it, and it is running alot smoother now, but it still will not let me take pictures in the client, so I've given up and just taken snapshots using Print Screen, and then GIMP. It works alot better. And I'm currently working on my own avi picture for my profile here and on IMVU. Again, a bundle of thanks & muffins ;)
